Hi, I’m Allison!

I turn messy human behavior into clear product strategy

As a sociologist turned UX researcher, I help teams build human-centered products by asking the right questions and making the complex feel simple.

Currently leading UX research at Sizzle AI, where we're reimagining how students learn with the help of generative AI.

I study people to help products make more sense.

With a Ph.D. in sociology and nearly a decade of experience in UX research, I specialize in turning real-world complexity into actionable insight. My academic foundation in intersectionality, social movements, and mass media informs how I approach design problems—with empathy, systems thinking, and a focus on impact.

I help teams navigate messy human behavior to build better, smarter products. I've done this across nonprofits, big tech, and early-stage startups.

I began my applied career at the reproductive rights nonprofit Power to Decide, researching and designing tools to reduce barriers to birth control access.

At Meta, I led UX research for the Facebook News team during the COVID-19 pandemic and 2020 U.S. election. Later, at Indeed, I managed a team focused on equity in hiring and reducing bias in Indeed’s hiring tools.

Today, I’m the first UX researcher at Sizzle AI, building a generative AI-powered tool that helps students study smarter—not harder.
